- 발표 주제 : The role of culture in adherence to acceptance of smart technology
- This talk aims to address cultural issues in acceptance of smart technology. Chinese people often avoid expressing disapproval or disagreement. They prefer group decisions, with emphasis on cooperation, harmony, and interdependence in social life, whereas American decision making places more importance on independence and the self. People with different cultural backgrounds have different communication styles. Chinese communication relies mostly on the physical context and less information is contained in the verbal part of the message, whereas American and most Western cultures communicate directly and explicitly. This talk will present three extensive works on acceptance of smart technology in China.
